This book takes place in the middle of the Lily Locke stories. Its about Ainsley's life after Lily goes to The Isle and converges were Ainsley appears with Lily on The Isle in the third book. Ainsley is rambunctious and fun. She is on a mission to save MAGIC Inc and their territories from the dangerous Frost King. It was a fun read and I really likes getting. To know Ainsley better. He'd love interest Beck made it interesting as he is non magical and has to make a tough decision. I liked how this story didn't totally feel like some of the other stories she has written. Lacey Luzzi and Lily Locke felt interchangeable at times. Although I enjoy both stories it was nice to have a change up from the same basic story line. Enjoyed it and recommend this story for a fun cozy mystery read.Product details

The premise was good, but the main dangerous situation was wrapped up too quickly and too easily. It should have been harder for her to get out of the mansion than it was. And the romance with the detective wasn't really well developed. It also seemed to move too quickly and improbably. It was just an okay book.
When was the last time you laughed out loud reading a book? Not just a chuckle,but a good,long burst out loud laugh? I definitely had that laugh as I was reading "Undercover Witch"! The book was so good that I had to read it in one sitting which is unusual for me with my busy schedule. I CANNOT wait for the next book in this series! Very humorous and very well-written! Huge kudos to Gina LaManna on her latest series!
I’m already addicted to the Magic and Mixology series, so adding this one was a foregone conclusion. Ainsley had me intrigued from the other series and I’m so glad to see her get her own. Gina Lamanna is quickly being added as one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to see what trouble Ainsley finds herself in!
If you have read Gina's Magic and Mixology series, then you already had the opportunity to meet Aisnley and if you haven't this as good of place as any to jump and see what everyone is raving about.

And boy was this book full of magic! I don't know how Gina is able to create these paranormal worlds and spin her words to make you believe what you are reading is in fact a hidden reality that you are not privileged enough to be included in.
The humor and love in this story are on point, it's a little lighter than the other Magic & Mixology books, but it is a fun read and the magical ideas are amazing. The allure of the library sensational, what I wouldn't give to have one hour in the enchanting place.
I adored Ainsley's family, her father, at times reminded me of Belle's father from Beauty and the Beast, with all of his inventions. Her mother, was overbearing at times, but really... what mother isn't?
If you are looking for mystical story that will make you laugh, swoon, and be immersed in an enchanted world, look no further, you have found what you are looking for.
I really enjoyed The Undercover Witch. Ainsley is such a fun, adventurous character. We meet her after she successfully completed a big job as a Guardian Witch. She is waiting for her next assignment. She is supposed to be getting some R&R and staying out of trouble. It all starts when she wasn't paying attention and ran into a human police car. The owner of said car is quite a hottie.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for a fun, paranormal adventure with a heroine who isn't afraid of finding trouble.
The main character of this book is someone we know from the Mix & Mixology series, Lily's (former) assistant Ainsley. A witch and a guardian, Ainsley has delivered Lily to her destiny and awaits a new assignment. While riding her brand-new broomstick she collides with the car of police officer Wesley Beck, near an interesting crime scene. A crime scene which leads to an exciting new but secret assignment.
Gina LaManna has proven me again and again she has an amazing gift for storytelling and her imagination brings us great stories. It just seemed this time that the storyline was a bit too big for the size of the book. This plotline could have spanned several books or one - more expanded - novel. Harry Potter did not defeat his enemies in just 34 chapters, right? It all seemed a little fast and a bit easy.
However, I totally enjoyed the things the author came up with like the library with the prophecies that turn to ashes and her dad's antics. I look forward to reading more about this crazy witch.
I enjoyed reading about Ainsley and the "flip side" of living on the Isle - living with humans. While it is a stand alone book, I would suggest reading the Magic & Mixology series first as it will help you understand the full environment better. Plus it's a great series!! Of course, now I want to step back and work out how the ending of this book fits in with the "Mixology" books. Hoping there will be more in this series as I think the relationship with Beck could add some interesting twists. But for those wanting more of Ainsley now check out the latest book in the Mixology series as Ainsley is an active character.
